It has been said that journalists first used the word “guru” to describe management theorists because they could not spell the word “charlatan.”Perhaps this is a little too mean to journalists (but not to management "gurus"; hey, where is that cheese, anyway?).

Thanks, Carrie. I find it a little hard to laugh at the cheese and the fish and "First Things First," because I've been in companies that put aside real work in order to focus on this mumbo-jumbo. They may not be able to afford technical training so their employees can keep their jobs, but they can send every manager to puff seminars on motivating foodstuffs.
