Voting

Every other blogger seems compelled to share his or her experience at the polls, so I'll follow along. The wife and I went over to our local polling place, the nearby junior high, and walked right in - no line, though there were a fair number of people actually in the booths. I didn't take a picture, so you'll just have to imagine an empty junior high school hall.

Rachel Maddow has received some attention for suggesting that waiting in line constitutes a kind of poll tax, and there's some validity to that idea. My suburb is relatively affluent, and we seem to have a lot of sites; there's another school about 3 blocks south of my place. It's not surprising that I was in and out in a hurry. Hope your experience was good too.

I voted in Bellevue WA mid-morning. No waiting. Wife voted in late afternoon (to take kindergardener to the polls) - no wait. Don't believe everything you hear in the news. Besides that Obama won...

Yes, but when I read about the party atmosphere in some of the lines, I get a little jealous that I was in and out in a few minutes...
